After an hour's ride and some searching, I finally found my hostel, Banana Backpackers which is tucked away at one corner of a small street. Located 200m away from Anguk station, it cost 35000won (S$43) per night, single room ensuite with one night free if you stayed for 7 nights which is considered cheap. I was given a double room instead =). The hostel was rather clean and people were friendly and able to speak english fluently. The only bad thing about the room was that it was really minimal - no TV, no hangers, no cupboards. TV is in located at the living room area. They do provide towels but you have to ask for it at the counter. Plastic bags for rubbish is also provided. By the way, unlike singapore, toilet paper down the toliet bowl is no no....else you end up with a clogged toilet bowel. So ALL toilet paper is into the bin. After a while you sort of get used to it.
